What is MBL?
MBL combines the fun of fantasy sports with wagering-style competition—without the real-money gambling. Players compete by picking games and placing virtual wagers. At the end of a league, the player with the most funds wins.
How did MBL get started?
MBL was started by a group of friends in 2019 in a spreadsheet to keep track of bets and to see who was the best. We knew we were on the right track when year after year everyone rejoined and so we decided to make an app that we could use and share it with the world.
Is MBL a gambling platform?
No. MBL is not a casino, sportsbook, or gambling platform. We do not hold or process real-money bets. All wagering in MBL is done with virtual funds, and no cash payouts are awarded.

Getting Started
How do I create/join a league?
Simply download the MBL app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, create your account, and either create a league or join the league using the code or link you received in the invite.
How much does it cost to play?
There is a $5 platform fee per user per league, but there is no fee for commissioners.
Gameplay
How do I win a league?
Each player starts with a set amount of virtual funds to wager on games during the league. At the end of the league, the player with the highest balance wins.
What happens if I run out of virtual funds?
Commissioners set the total number of re-entries allowed for a team. Please review your league rules in General.
Are there prizes?
MBL leagues are for bragging rights, friendly competition, and social fun. There are no cash prizes or payouts from My Betting League.
Can I join more than one league?
Yes! You can participate in multiple leagues at the same time.
Why are lines set just once a week and don’t change?
This is how we set it up in the original MBL in our spreadsheet league to keep things simple. Because of static lines, there can be some interesting opportunities. Checking weather reports can be profitable.
When will the lines for the week be posted?
Lines will be posted on Wednesday at 8:00 PM EST.
How do you do a Parlay?
You can combine up to any two bets during a week to create a parlay that pays out 3x your bet.
Are there Moneyline or Prop Bets?
No. You are only able to play Spread and O/U bets. We will be looking to add more options in the future!
Fees & Refunds
Are there any refunds?
No. All platform fees are non-refundable once a league starts. Please confirm your league participation before joining.
What happens if a league doesn’t start?
If a commissioner’s league does not reach the required number of players, any platform fees for that league will be refunded.
Account & Privacy
How do you keep my information safe?
We take data security seriously. Our privacy policy outlines how your information is collected, stored, and protected.
Can I change my username or profile info?
Yes. You can update your profile settings directly in the app.
Does MBL allow user-generated content or direct messaging?
No. To keep the experience safe and focused, we do not allow user-generated content or direct messaging in the app.
